Topics

All Abstracts, Reviews, short articles, Full articles, Posters are welcomed related with any of the following research fields:

1. Fundamental Biological & Medical Sciences

These are the "basic sciences" that provide the necessary knowledge of how the human body functions in health and disease.

Anatomy & Physiology: The study of body structures and their physical/chemical functions.

Pathophysiology: The study of how disease processes affect normal physiological function.

Microbiology & Immunology: Investigating pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi) and the body's defense mechanisms.

Biochemistry & Genetics: The chemical processes within cells and the role of heredity in health.

Pharmacology: The study of drug actions, interactions, and the body's reaction to chemical substances.

2. Core Nursing Disciplines

Nursing focuses on the holistic care of individuals, families, and communities, bridging the gap between medical science and patient experience.

Fundamentals of Nursing: Basic care techniques, hygiene, safety, and the nursing process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation).

Medical-Surgical Nursing: Caring for adult patients with acute or chronic physical disorders.

Maternal & Newborn Nursing (Obstetrics): Care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

Pediatric Nursing: Healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents.

Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing: Treatment of behavioral health disorders and psychological distress.

Community & Public Health Nursing: Focused on population health, disease prevention, and social determinants of health.

3. Specialized Medical Branches

These fields focus on specific organ systems or patient populations, often involving high-level diagnostic and surgical intervention.

Internal Medicine: Sub-specialties including Cardiology (heart), Gastroenterology (digestive system), Nephrology (kidneys), and Pulmonology (lungs).

Surgical Sciences: General surgery and specialized fields like Orthopedics (bones/joints), Neurosurgery (brain/nerves), and Cardiovascular surgery.

Emergency & Critical Care Medicine: Management of life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

Gerontology & Geriatrics: The study of aging and the medical care of the elderly.

Oncology: The study and treatment of tumors and cancer.

4. Interrelated Healthcare Systems & Ethics

These topics overlap with both nursing and medicine, forming the "connective tissue" of the healthcare industry.

Bioethics & Jurisprudence: The study of moral issues in medicine (informed consent, end-of-life care) and the legal regulations governing practice.

Epidemiology: The study of the distribution and determinants of health-related states in populations.

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP): The integration of clinical expertise with the best available research and patient values.

Health Informatics: Using technology and data to manage patient records and improve clinical outcomes.

Healthcare Administration & Policy: The management of hospitals, insurance systems, and national health regulations.

Nutrition & Dietetics: The role of food and nutrients in disease prevention and management.

5. Emerging & Advanced Fields

Genomics & Personalized Medicine: Tailoring medical treatment to an individual’s genetic profile.

Palliative & Hospice Care: Focus on quality of life for patients with terminal illnesses.

Global Health: Addressing health disparities and infectious diseases on an international scale.

Nursing Research: Scientific inquiry aimed at improving patient care standards and nursing methodology.
