This symposium will focus on the recognition, diagnosis and management of common rheumatologic conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, and some less common disorders like polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis.

Hands-on musculoskeletal examination of the knee will be demonstrated. The limitations and the interpretation of rheumatology laboratory testing will be discussed. Finally, updates on therapeutic developments, recent research findings, and scientific advances will be reviewed.
