The Australian and New Zealand Association of Geriatric Medicine Annual Scientific Meeting 2024 is to be held in Christchurch, New Zealand on the 22-24 May 2024.

We are Still Standing. Christchurch has rebuilt, recovered and regenerated after adversity. We strive to keep our older people standing strong, just like our city

We’ll bring together top academics for keynote addresses highlighting the latest research in the promotion of physical activity, falls prevention and share findings from major frailty trials. We’ll learn how to use this knowledge to lead and implement change within healthcare and at the political interface.

We’ll share passion for advocacy work with older people, understand cultural perspectives on ageing, and discuss how to keep older people standing as valued members of our community.

You’ll be hosted in the heart of our CBD, a place of greenery, contemporary and classic architecture, scenery and space. It will be easy to attend the conference, enjoy a choice of CBD accommodation options and explore everything you need on foot. The social programme hosted at the conference venue will enable easy opportunities to network with friends and colleagues, and the proximity to green spaces as well as bars, cafes and restaurants will allow the fun to continue!
