Sustainable Creative Art: Inspiration from Nature (SCIN) November 10, 2026 - Milan, Italy

Artists and designers have long drawn inspiration from nature’s patterns, landscapes, and ecosystems. Today, as sustainability becomes a global priority, the creative sector plays a crucial role in promoting environmentally responsible practices and raising awareness about climate change and biodiversity.

Following the success of its first edition, IEREK proudly presents the second edition of the Sustainable Creative Art: Inspiration from Nature (SCIN) Conference, organized in collaboration with Istituto Marangoni in Milan. The opening will take place at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci on November 10, 2026.

The conference will bring together designers, architects, artists, researchers, and industry professionals to explore how nature-inspired creativity and sustainable practices can shape the future of art and design. Discussions will highlight sustainable solutions in architecture, interior design, materials, visual arts, and technological innovation.

The program also explores three main thematic parts:

Memory, focusing on heritage, archives, digital technologies, and the role of archives in shaping cultural narratives;

Making, addressing circular fashion, textile innovation, sustainable materials, and curatorial practices in exhibitions and museums;

Media, examining communication, digital storytelling, ethics and authorship in the AI era, and new educational and research models for sustainable design.

Taking place from November 10–12, 2026, the SCIN conference aims to foster global collaboration among academics, creatives, and industry leaders to explore the future of sustainable art, design, and innovation inspired by nature.
