Despite its prevalence, fewer than 25% of medical residency programs provide formal menopause education. The result is that many clinicians feel underprepared to address symptoms, manage therapy risks, and guide patients through.

For clinicians, menopause represents a critical period for preventive health intervention. Estrogen decline affects nearly every organ system: cardiovascular, skeletal, cognitive, and urogenital health. Recognizing the systemic nature of these changes enables clinicians to offer more comprehensive care.
