Shift UX 2026 is a hybrid two-day conference hosted by Rosenfeld Media, taking place September 24–25, 2026 in New York City and live online, with optional workshops on September 23. The conference brings together designers, researchers, product managers, content designers, data scientists, and adjacent practitioners to explore UX not as a job title, but as a shared problem-solving toolkit for tackling complex challenges across industries including healthcare, finance, education, and transportation. It centers on four practice pillars: systems-level thinking, research as strategy, human-centered tooling, and operations as orchestration.

Shift UX 2026 was created in response to a moment when traditional UX roles are blurring or disappearing even as the underlying work becomes more critical than ever — particularly as AI is integrated into already complex products and organizations.
