SELCS Annual Conference: Transformations and Innovations in Language, Education, and Lifelong Learning July 02, 2026 - Coventry, United Kingdom

On behalf of the Conference Committee, we are pleased to welcome you to the student-led SELCS Annual Conference 2026, a three-day hybrid event bringing together scholars, practitioners, and students from across the School of Education, Learning and Communication Sciences (SELCS).

This year’s theme, “Transformations and Innovations in Language, Education, and Lifelong Learning”, provides a framework for examining how research, pedagogy, and professional practice are responding to shifting social, cultural, and technological contexts. It aims to encourage dialogue across disciplines and to open up new ways of thinking about learning across the lifespan.

The programme brings together a range of formats, including research presentations, lightning talks, research clinics, a workshop, keynote lectures, and a panel discussion. These sessions are designed to support both critical engagement and informal exchange, offering participants opportunities to share work, discuss ideas, and connect with colleagues from a range of international contexts.

The conference will run in a fully hybrid format, with participation available both in person at the Westwood Teaching Centre, University of Warwick, and online via Microsoft Teams, ensuring accessibility for contributors and attendees alike.

We welcome contributions from postgraduate researchers, taught postgraduate students, and undergraduate scholars, whose work brings valuable perspectives and emerging approaches to the field. We look forward to three days of thoughtful discussion, collaboration, and exchange.
