Pacific Islands GIS and Remote Sensing User Conference (PGRSC) November 30, 2026 - Suva, Fiji

Join us for an exciting conference on Strengthening and Expanding Geospatial Networks in the Pacific Islands, where experts, practitioners, and policymakers will explore cutting-edge geospatial technologies and collaborations. This event offers a unique platform to share knowledge, strengthen regional partnerships, and drive innovation in mapping, remote sensing, and spatial data infrastructure. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with leaders shaping the future of geospatial networks in the Pacific!

For more than 20 years, the Pacific Islands GIS and Remote Sensing User Conference reputably hosts the largest Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) conference in the Pacific providing a platform for (i) GIS and RS users from nearly all Pacific Island Countries, (ii) satellite data, software, hardware and consulting enterprises and (iii) scientists from universities and research institutions. Last year’s conference delivered 40 presentations, 6 discussion sessions, a Women in GIS session, and 4 workshops to over 170 attendees from 22 different countries.

The conference allows these audiences to engage and discuss projects, news, and challenges involving spatial data and techniques. In addition, we dedicate a day to provide capacity building and information sharing workshop for all users to take part in. PGRSC also offers substantial inter-country networking opportunities to promote information exchange through our website (www.pgrsc.org), webinar series, GIS-PacNet listserv, free online resources series, and Pacific Islands GIS and RS Newsletter as well as a network of PGRSC Focal Points, who link the local GIS and RS user groups in the Pacific Island Countries and the Council.
