Call for Special Sessions:

Special Session 1 Title: Hydraulic Engineering and Hydraulic machinery

Session Chair:

Zhang Desheng, Jiangsu University

Novelty and motivation:

Hydraulic Engineering and Hydraulic machinery include water turbines, pumps, and valves, serving as critical infrastructure for safeguarding water resource security and optimizing water allocation. Hydraulic engineering is closely related to marine engineering fields such as coastal and estuarine management, marine resource development, and environmental and ecological engineering. To foster interdisciplinary academic exchange between hydraulic and marine engineering, the Special Session on Hydraulic Engineering and Hydraulic Machinery is established, aiming to strengthen academic collaboration and share the latest research achievements among scholars.

Special Session 2 Title: Equipment safety inspection and structural health monitoring

Session Chairs:

Xinan Yuan, China University of Petroleum (East China)

Gang Wang, Harbin Engineering University

Interested topics include (but not limited to):

- Nondestructive testing (NDT) technique, including optical, ultrasonic and electromagnetic testing

- Structural health monitoring technique (SHM)

- Novel sensors and intelligent sensing system

-Inspection systems integrated in robots, including Remote operated vehicle (ROV) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV)

Special Session 3 Title: Autonomous Ship Technology

Session Chairs:

Wen Liu, Wuhan University of Technology

Lei Qiao, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Chenfeng Huang, Dalian Maritime University

Interested topics include (but not limited to):

- Guidance, navigation and control of ships;

- Path planning and collision avoidance of ships;

- Cooperative control of marine vehicles;

- Multi-modal sensor fusion of marine systems;

- Human-machine interaction in autonomous marine operations;
