International Conference on Africa’s Sustainable Development ICASuD on October 20-21, 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria

International Conference on Africa’s Sustainable Development (ICASuD) October 20, 2021 - Lagos, Nigeria

ICASuD 2021 Main Theme and Objectives

The main theme for ICASuD 2021 is “Africa’s Economy and Sustainable Development from a Multidimensional and Multicultural Perspective”.

Africa operates as a vast economy that touches every significant aspect of human existence, encompassing business, health, education, social welfare, and others. These sectoral areas form the hub within which the region establishes its magnificence of impact relating to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Agenda 2063. Nevertheless, multiculturalism's potentialities across the region must be harnessed and positively positioned towards achieving these goals and an intercontinental impact that can position the African region as a global economic force. Besides, the pluralistic nature of the social, cultural, religious and economic factors surrounding leadership capacity across the region to achieve development in SSA demands increasingly workable theoretical and practical views from a broad stakeholder community from within and outside the region. Amidst these, the occurrence of Covid-19 has further caused uncertainties across the socio-economic landscape of the region. These issues, and much more, will be the predominant focus in the 1st International Conference on Africa's Sustainable Development (ICASuD) 2021. The conference will be a regional knowledge-creating hub that is poised at ensuring conducive economic growth and alleviation of poverty, food scarcity, sustainable livelihood, low growth rates and sustainable development among Africa nations. The Conference Committee encourages participation from researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, students and other start-up champions.
