The International Conductors Guild welcomes conducting colleagues from around the world for this year's annual Conference located in New York City, January 3-6, 2024 at the Kenneth Griffin Sidewalk Studio located inside David Geffen Hall.  Special Keynote Speaker will feature Ms. Jamie Bernstein who will share her personal insight into her father's music and life of sharing music with the world. Additional speaker topics include Dr. William Kinderman's " Conducting Beethoven: From Rain and Hail on /earth to the Starry Heavens Above", Sonia Marie De Leon De Vega "Inclusion of Latino Communities and Culturally Specific Communities", Liane Curtis speaking on "Symphonies by Women: Exploring Three Centuries of Great Works", Dr. Carlos Brown - "God, Give Us Men! A Conversation and Lecture on the Life and Four Contrasting Choral Works by Uzee Brown, Jr.", James Sinclair's "Conducting Charles Ives", Rain Worthington presenting "Creating Contemporary Concert Experiences: Actionable Ideas for Cultivating Audience Engagement", Mark Bailey's "Conductors on Early Sound Recordings and the Art of Romantic-Era Expression" and many more.

A very special feature of this year's conference is the awarding of the Max Rudolf Award presented biennially in recognition of outstanding achievement as a conductor and pedagogue, and significant service to the profession in the realms of scholarship, advocacy and/or ensemble building. This award was established by the Conductors Guild in 1997 in memory of Max Rudolf – a longtime supporter of the Guild, conducting pedagogue and scholar. Past recipients have included Gunther Schuller, Gustav Meier, Otto-Werner Mueller, David M. Epstein, Daniel Lewis, Herbert Blomstedt, Paul Vermel, Jonathan Sternberg, Donald Hunsberger, Helmuth Rilling, Harold Farberman, and Dr. John Farrer.

Additionally, all conference delegates may sign up for Mentorship sessions with today's leading conducting experts who will be attending the conference. The ICG has been known as the leading nonprofit organization for conductor mentoring for it's nearly 50-year history.

The ICG New York City Conference will include lunches and groups dinners, as well as tours of the newly renovated Geffen Hall with the chief acoustician, Christopher Blair of AKUSTIKS, and tours of backstage at the MET!

Early-bird registration rates are available $385 until November 20!  Student rates are $100 and First-Time or New registrants may attend for $325. Discounts at the Empire Hotel are available until Dec. 4 and Delta Air Lines discounts are also available.
