International Abalone Symposium on February 27-March 06, 2023 in Auckland, New Zealand

We are honoured to be hosting the 11th International Abalone Symposium (Abalone), for the first time in Aotearoa, New Zealand, in partnership with the International Abalone Society (IAS) and Events at AUT, from 27 February – 2 March 2023. This symposium is themed “Poua te mana o Pāua ki te tai, kia whakaika te moana!” and will focus on fisheries management, physiology and ecology, aquaculture technology, processing, and the marketing of abalone. As a first-time addition, a strong stream of cultural and indigenous knowledge will be added along with scientific, industrial, and networking sessions, to ensure a special and memorable symposium in New Zealand.
