Hydrogen Production is estimated to grow significantly by 2050, with $15 trillion investments needed to meet global demand. Incentivized by global public and private sector commitments, low-carbon hydrogen is set to be a key pillar in the energy transition and the race to net-zero.

However, challenges such as half-hearted policies and unclear frameworks, chicken and egg dilemma between supply and demand, uncertainty and risk around project finance, inadequate infrastructure and technology for production, storage and transportation block the scaling up of a global hydrogen economy.
