Energy China Forum Asia-Pacific Shale & Unconventional Resources Conference on October 22-24, 2025 in Shanghai, China

In 2024, China's shale oil production hit a record 6 million tons (up 30% YoY), while unconventional gas output surpassed 270 billion cubic meters (50% of total gas production). Key projects in Xinjiang, Daqing and Shengli are driving commercial development through technological innovation.

Led by PetroChina and Sinopec, the sector is transitioning to green energy hubs featuring geothermal, hydrogen and CCUS. CO₂-EOR applications reached 300,000 tons in shale fields, enhancing both output and carbon storage.

Themed on “The Future of Energy: Intelligent Drive, Low-Carbon Synergy”, we have relevant government leaders, executives of Chinese state-owned enterprises, executives of international energy companies, leaders of service providers such as oilfield services, equipment engineering and legal finance, well-known think tank scholars and experts as speakers, and more than 300 domestic and foreign representatives attended ECF2025.
