This landmark initiative expands upon the successful 3-day International Carnival Conferences previously held in South Africa, the UK, Montreal, Orlando, and Trinidad, directed by renowned international carnival consultant Pax Nindi FRSA under the leadership of World Carnival Commission (WCC) President Henry Antoine. For the first time, this expanded edition will be hosted at McGill University, one of Canada’s most prestigious institutions, adding to the excitement and significance of this global gathering.

The Schedule

The week-long programme will feature a 3-day International Carnival Conference, exploring Carnival’s cultural influence, business potential, and role in global diplomacy. Attendees will engage in evening networking events with leaders from culture, tourism, and the arts, and experience a 2-day exhibition and cultural performances showcasing the artistry of African and Diaspora communities. A special symposium on the fourth day will honor and discuss the legacy of African Kings and Queens, as well as the influential figures shaping Carnival across the Diaspora.
