The Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) was founded in 1975 and has more than 250 members engaged in radiation protection activities. Members are engaged in a variety of activities designed to ensure the safe use of ionising and non-ionising radiation across the incredibly diverse field of radiation protection, which includes medicine, pure and applied science, industry, and mining.

The theme of the 2023 conference is “Expanding the Scope of Radiation Protection’’. The aim of the conference is to foster discussions across a broad range of radiation protection aspects and emerging fields, including training the next generation of radiation professionals, showcasing new technologies and applications, and sharing the importance of effective communication and stakeholder involvement. The Organising Committee is eager to curate a full and extensive program that includes three days of scientific sessions infused with intensive exhibitor and sponsor engagement.
