Annual Meeting: Traumatic Stress in a Troubled World (ISTSS) September 23, 2026 - San Antonio, United States

Trauma professionals around the world are confronted by the devastating impacts of war, political instability, climate change, and displacement, as well as the daily toll of systemic injustice, interpersonal violence, workplace trauma, loss, and childhood adversity on individuals and communities. While we are a diverse group of professionals, we are united by our shared commitment to understanding and addressing traumatic stress.

ISTSS is the premier global home of trauma professionals and students, a community with shared values, goals, and aspirations. We represent an array of disciplines, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, epidemiologists, nurses, researchers, administrators, victim advocates, journalists, clergy and others with an interest in the study and treatment of traumatic stress. Our annual meeting is an opportunity to come together as a community, re-connect with longtime friends and build new relationships with colleagues from around the world. Our unity and our mission have never been more important.

The 42nd ISTSS Annual Meeting will be held 23-26 September 2026 in the exciting city of San Antonio, Texas, USA, known for its famous Riverwalk (location of the meeting venue), diverse cuisine with Mexican, Spanish, European and African influences, and the historic Alamo.

Don't miss your chance to be part of our international exchange of research, clinical strategies, trauma informed service development and policy approaches with a common goal of improving outcomes for individuals and communities impacted by trauma.
